If you're looking for a place to stay during your vacation, or to experience an inspiring brainstorm or workday with your colleagues, or even for photo/video shoots, our artist house is located in a calm village between Leuven and Brussels.
Welcome to our unique space nestled within the walls of a former dairy farm transformed into a modern home. This historic house, with its charming origins as a dairy, was thoughtfully converted by its previous owner into a residential space with a versatile multifunctional area. This multifunctional area is called de Melkerij (dairy farm in Dutch). Click here if you’d like to know more about de Melkerij.
The residential house is an architectural beauty, reflecting the unique style of Lisa and Luis. Bursting with vibrant colors, scattered with South American influences, decorated with some vintage finds, it's a true testament to their creative flair.
In the garden, you'll discover a terrace with a (unheated) swimming pool and a more private terrace. Relax and unwind in this serene outdoor space, where you can soak up the sun and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.
We are located 8 km from the city Leuven and 22 km from the capital Brussels. The bus stop is a 5-minute walk away, and the train station is 20 minutes walk away.
meet lisa and luis
Hi, we're Lisa and Luis, nice to meet you. We purchased this property in 2020 when Lisa was pregnant. Our son, Raffi, was born at the end of December in the year of the pandemic. Luis is a painter and has his studio in the house. Together with Lisa, he runs ‘de Melkerij’ and launched Gallery 22a. Lisa is a writer, loves photography and acting. They both enjoy bringing people together. We love traveling and exploring new places with our little son. We enjoy sharing our home with you while we are traveling.

meet our kitty cat peru
When staying with us, you'll have one special task: taking care of our orange kitty, Peru. Her name is a nod to Luis's Peruvian heritage. Peru needs food, water, and cuddles. At first, she might be shy and keep her distance, but once she trusts you, she'll come around. She loves spending time in the garden and enjoys nighttime adventures.
